The Coalition of Mutual Fund Investors (CMFI) is an Internet-based shareholder advocacy organization established in 2003 to represent the interests of individual mutual fund investors. CMFI was formed by Niels Holch, who currently serves as the organization's Executive Director.
The specific goals of CMFI are:
- To advocate for full disclosure to mutual fund investors of all fees, costs, and business practices within the fund industry;
- To improve regulatory protections and industry best practices for the benefit of mutual fund investors;
- To facilitate educational opportunities for mutual fund investors; and
- To communicate to mutual fund investors about public policy issues.
